I wanted to put an acoustic song on the EP so that you guys could get a sense of what most of my songs are like before they’re recorded with all the fancy instrumentation. “Cry” seemed like the perfect song for that purpose. It’s one of my most personal, intimate songs. It’s all about that moment at 2 am when, after keeping your composure for as long as you possibly could, you just let go.
